Why Union Free

Our position on unions is simple:

PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) believes that the best relationship with its employees is a direct one. We feel there is no need for a third party, like a labor union, to come between employees and PBNA.

The Top 10 Reasons to Vote "No"

We respect our employees' lawful right to choose or reject union representation. However, we believe that our employees don't need a union to represent them.

0

We believe that unionization is NOT in the best interest of our employees.

0

We prefer to work with our employees directly rather than through a third party.

0

We encourage employees and management to work together to solve problems and create a good working environment.

0

We deal with our employees openly, honestly, fairly and without discrimination, treating each person with the dignity and respect they deserve.

0

No one is free from day to day problems, but we believe we have the right people to help resolve issues, without the intervention of outsiders.

0

There is a risk of getting called out on strike. In addition to loss of wages and benefits, in certain circumstances, employees can be lawfully permanently replaced.

0

The presence of a union would change relationships between managers, supervisors and employees. A contract could force employees to go through a union steward instead of talking directly with management.

0

Collective bargaining can take months or years. In fact, according to a recent analysis of first contracts, the average time to negotiate a first contract is currently 465 days.

0

With a union, all current wages, benefits, and working conditions are subject to negotiations. Employees could end up with more, the same as they started with, or even wind up with less. There are no guarantees.

Wages and benefits are reviewed annually at our company. If a union represents our employees, a multi-year collective bargaining agreement could prevent us from making changes each year, even if those changes would benefit employees.
